Events

Human Resourcing is delighted to promote and endorse its own programme of seminars running quarterly throughout the year. Hosted in conjunction with other leading organisations the programmes are carefully designed to inform and update clients on a wide range of ‘hot topics’ associated with HR, Training and Health & Safety and OH. Drawing on expert advice and opinion, we actively encourage clients to offer suggestions for future seminar titles highlighting common professional interests.

Our presentations commence at 8.30am and end by 10am and are generally based at key venues across South Wales. The early morning starts are absolutely free of charge and involve complimentary tea, coffee and breakfast rolls allowing enough time also for a Q&A session plus an opportunity to network with like-minded professionals before heading back to the office.

Bookings should ideally be made and confirmed via email – mera.mann@humanresourcing.co.uk or by contacting Cardiff 02920 399 150 or Swansea 01792 477111.

We look forward to putting ‘a face to the name’ during the year ahead.

Gender Pay Gap Reporting - FREE Breakfast Seminar

Human Resourcing is delighted to be hosting a free interactive morning seminar alongside Capital Law who will offer free advice and guidance on addressing existing gender pay differences within your organisation.

What?

The Government has committed to introducing compulsory gender pay gap reporting for employers with at least 250 employees in October of 2016.

Why?

The difference in pay received by men and women is at its lowest level ever (19.2%  according to the Office for National Statistics), but the gender pay gap still persists. The Prime Minister has stated his intention to expose discrepancies and ‘create the pressure we need for change, driving women’s wages up'.

When?

Mandatory gender pay gap reporting will come into force in October 2016.  This means that you’ll be required to publish, probably on your website, details of any pay gap in your organisation.

Next step?

You may be unaware of the gender pay gap in your business. Even if your organisation complies with equal pay legislation, a pay gap may still be a concern in your workforce.

Acting now can help to ensure that any problem areas are addressed in advance of the rules coming into force/.  Email Mera Mann to reserve your free place.

Mediation Seminar - Resolving Conflict in the Workplace

Keep calm and resolve conflict in the workplace

It is estimated that a staggering 25% of manager’s time is spent in dealing with workplace conflict. If conflict remains unresolved or a formal process is commenced this can be very damaging to both organisations and individuals alike. Hence the increasing interest in using mediation or other alternative options to resolve conflict.

 In association with Human Resourcing Ltd, Alison Love,  Author of The Managers Guide to Mediating Conflict and an experienced workplace mediator with a background in HR and employment law will facilitate a thought provoking session to HR professionals at a local Cardiff venue and look at the options to consider when dealing with workplace conflict.  The Tuesday 21st April session will be an opportunity for delegates to explore the options to resolving workplace issues including;

  • Are formal procedures fit for purpose?
  • When to intervene?
  • Mediation and other options explained.
  • Neutral assessments explained; an innovative new approach?

The Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act was given Royal assent on 26 July 2007 and came into force on 6 April 2008. It is therefore essential that each individual business ensures their health and safety management and structures are regularly reviewed, paying close attention to the way in which their undertakings are carried out and monitored by senior management.

It is nothing but a false economy to avoid or to cut corners when it comes to risk management which is why together we will be able to advise you on how to:

  • Find the best possible HR Director who is capable of delivering necessary human resources solutions
  • Select the best and most suitably qualified Health and Safety candidate who can steer the business away from the serious management failures which could result in a gross breach of a duty of care.
  • Implement processes and procedures to prevent involvement in Corporate Manslaughter cases

If business leaders fail to properly resource health and safety and something does go wrong then it will not just be the victim that suffers, but the entire business. Corporate manslaughter cases can see the company’s individual directors on trial individually for offences of gross negligence manslaughter and breaches of health and safety.

To book you place contact Mera Mann on 07737 183685 or via email @ mera.mann@humanresourcing.co.uk
