Job Specification

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources professional, for a 3 months temporary contract, to join the organisation’s centralised HR team which aims to provide a high quality and efficient HR service to managers and staff. You will work in partnership with Managers to manage Employee Relations issues and cases and deliver creative people management solutions in a period of change. Responsible to: Deputy Director of HR Responsible for: HR Officers and Project Staff as allocated in respect of Departmental casework Key Tasks:  To provide advice and guidance to managers on Employment Relations cases.  To provide advice and guidance to managers on employment law issues.  To support organisational change and development including departmental restructuring and rationalisation programmes, providing advice and guidance on issues relating to retraining, redeployment and redundancy situations.  To foster and develop effective working relationships with departmental colleagues.  To participate in both formal and informal meetings with trade union representatives in relation to case work.  To support internal and external tribunal processes.  To keep up-to-date with relevant employment legislation including case law and best practice.

 

Person Specification

You will ideally be CIPD qualified (Chartered Member) and have experience of working in a HR department within a large unionised organisation, possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be able to demonstrate relevant experience at a senior level of case management and organisational restructures. Bilingual Institution which operates a Welsh Language scheme. Committed to Equal Opportunities.
