Chief/Group Human Resources Manager
£45,000-£55,000
Generally classified as a No.2 role in either a site of significant size or a multi-site Group role. Membership of the CIPD with 7+ years experience again supplemented with additional knowledge in psychological testing, job evaluation and / or Health and Safety. Packages normally include an executive company car, bonus scheme, pension and family private health cover.
Human Resources Manager/Consultant
£35,000-£45,000
A middle management role within a large organisation or a No1 position within a small/medium sized company where you will be part of the Senior Management team. Approximately 5 years experience as a minimum, together with full CIPD Membership usually required, with ambitious individuals either studying towards or having already attained an MBA or MSc. Company cars, or a cash alternative, are more often than not part of the overall package alongside pension and private health cover.
Human Resources Advisor/Senior Personnel Officer
£27,000-£35,000
Either, a Supervisory role reporting to the HR Manager in a large organisation or a Head of Department in a smaller company, possibly reporting to an off-site Manager/Director. Graduate or Membership of CIPD normally required although if particularly relevant experience some Licentiate qualified individuals may be considered. Benefits are unlikely to include a car unless considerable travel is involved in the role, but typically will include a pension scheme and private health cover.
Human Resources Officer/Personnel Officer
£22,000-£27,000
This position is normally associated with a finalist, or a recent Graduate of the CIPD exams, with at least 3 years experience as an Assistant HR/Personnel Officer with perhaps some prior experience as an HR Administrator. Actively involved in daily operational HR issues rather more so than the strategic areas of the Department. Benefits include pension and/or life cover.
Human Resources Administrator/Personnel Administrator
£15,000-£22,000
Another possible entry point for a Graduate particularly if the course had a strong relevance to HR or the individual went on to study for an MSc in a related field. Alternatively, Licentiate members fit this category and benefit from the study assistance which is usually on offer (whether in the form of course and/or book fees, additional time off from work to attend courses, take exams or study.) A critical level for many as exam success will usually allow individuals to aspire to Managerial levels which is much more difficult to do without formal qualifications.
