Our client, Cardiff Airport has exclusively retained Human Resourcing to successfully appoint its brand new Director of Human Resources. Reporting to the CEO and responsible for the HR & Payroll team plus the Airport Training Coordinator, this is a rare and fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused HR professional to operate at Director level and join the SMT at an exciting time within this high-profile organisation.
Job Purpose & Scope:
The Director of Human Resources (HR) is a key member of the Airport Executive team and will be responsible for developing the strategy for Human Resources and implementing the strategy in accordance with the Airport’s Business plan.
The Director of HR has responsibility for developing the HR function within the Airport and ensuring that their ASPIRES values are embedded and a positive performance and accountable culture exists.
The Director of HR has responsibility for HR policy, practice and culture at both Cardiff Airport and St Athan airfield. All further references to the Airport relate to the combined Cardiff Airport and St Athan team.
The role does not sit on the Board of Cardiff Airport but will be expected to report to the Board on key strategic and operational topics. Whilst the role is a Director level role, as Cardiff Airport is a relatively small organisation (300 staff) there are times when the Director of HR will be required to be heavily involved in the day-to-day aspects of HR and the operations of the Airport.
