Reporting to the People Services (HR) Manager, the successful candidate will provide pro-active HR consultancy support to the business across a range of operational areas including advice and guidance to managers and liaising with external partners across the entire employee lifecycle for all aspects of people services.
Core accountability for development, maintenance and change control of all HR policies; owning and updating the People Services content for the intranet; case management support to managers for all employee relations cases from Stage one onwards; providing subject matter expertise on business projects; recruitment support; accountable for Senior Managers Certificate Regime and SMR processes; deputising for the People Services Manager when they are absent.The ability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision is required.
•Proven experience as an HR generalist
•Good understanding of employee relations, HR policies and employment law
•Working knowledge of HRIS systems
•Ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail and with a methodical
•Strong personal organisation skills with ability to plan and prioritise own workload and
demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision
•Excellent inter-personal and customer facing skills
•Demonstrable ability to operate within prescribed process frameworks as well as
develop and embed processes
•Ability to work in confidential environment and act with integrity
•Ideally degree qualified or equivalent; CIPD or working towards preferable
