As a trusted partner to this 230 headcount SME, you will be a key player in confidently strengthening its people proposition and growth capability. An opportunity to immediately influence within this fast-paced, professional services client you will focus on performance, management development and capability. Championing a robust business plan, you will boast an early careers/talent skillset together with workforce and succession planning.

Successful Applicant

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the HR plan, a high performing HR service that delivers the best business and people outcomes. You will act as a trusted partner to the business proactively working with teams to strengthen our people proposition and growth capability as a firm.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert HR advice, guidance and support to empower our managers to manage their people matters effectively to include:
  • Resourcing, Career Development, Workforce & Succession Planning.
  • Performance management, using commercial acumen to support managers in identifying trends and decision making.
  • Reward & recognition, timely identification of reward and recognition actions and ensuring a correlation between requests and engagement versus performance outcomes.
  • Employee relations case management using expertise to support managers and colleagues ensuring that people are treated fairly and in line with our values in a high performing workplace. Ensuring organisational changes are fit for purpose, cost effective and support the overarching business plan.
  • Working in partnership with the Recruitment Business Partner and L&D Team to ensure robust succession planning and skills development. Ensuring that our Career Development programmes are supporting development and growth across the company.
  • Ensuring that the resourcing plan both short and medium term is continuously evolving and that we have the right people with the right skills in place to deliver the business plan.
  • Management of associated promotion processes in line with the succession plan. Supporting Management Development programmes and coaching managers in all aspects of people management.
  • Supporting the Trainee programme by managing rotation and qualification decisions in conjunction with the managers. Coaching managers to provide effective feedback and ensuring that managers are equipped to deal with people matters effectively whilst operating in an early careers environment.
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and communication across all teams and central services.
  • Supporting colleague engagement including reviewing feedback across all teams by utilising reports, analysis and forums. Offering ideas and solutions to strengthen the people proposition and continuously improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Supporting initiatives and programmes in line with business strategies that enhance company culture including equality, diversity & inclusion, health & wellbeing, and social value. Including leading meetings, driving actions and outputs, designing communication plans/schedules to strengthen our people proposition.
  • Contributing to the HR Plan and managing associated projects.
  • Supporting on other tasks and projects as needed.

 

Key Competencies

  • Of graduate calibre, CIPD qualified or equivalent experience as a HR Business Partner
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Exceptional attention to detail and passion for excellence
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise
  • Self-starter with a hands-on approach, impressive work ethic, energy and commitment to delivering results
