Job Description

Our privately owned manufacturing client with significant growth plans requires a permanent HR Officer in a stand-alone capacity.  Employing c 130 staff, you will report to the Company Director and confidently provide all areas of operational HR including ER and recruitment.

 

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hrs/wk)

Person Specification

 

You will be an enthusiastic candidate who enjoys a varied role, and a person who is solutions-focussed and resilient. The candidate will be expected to manage their time and day-to-day responsibilities on his/her own and therefore, needs to be able to work on their own initiative.

 

The candidate will also need good interpersonal skills to relate with Managers and Company members effectively.

 

The essential skills required for this role are:

  1. Knowledge and experience of processing a payroll and payroll software
  2. Knowledge of employment regulations and law
  3. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  4. Strong written and verbal communication skills
  5. Confidence in the analysis of numerical data with the requisite attention to detail
  6. Ability to present findings
  7. Ability to negotiate and build relationships
  8. Ability to work in a small close-knit team on some projects
  9. Ability of prioritise workload, time management and dealing with conflicting priorities while being able to meet deadlines.
