As the year draws to a close, I always like to take a moment to pause and reflect. 2025 brought its challenges and opportunities.
The employment market tested the resilience of both jobseekers and employers this year. The Office for National Statistics reported that overall job vacancies fell yet again and unemployment rose.
In times like this, the recruitment landscape becomes more competitive, decision-making slows, and both candidates and clients face uncertainty. Yet, these are the times when specialist support, trusted insight and partnership matter most. That’s where Human Resourcing has been committed throughout 2025, continuing to support our clients and candidates through a shifting market.
Here are our 5 highlights of 2025
- We kicked off the year proudly sponsoring the inaugural HR in Wales Awards, a celebration of HR talent, celebrated in a way that felt long overdue. It was an honour for Human Resourcing to support such an important initiative from the very beginning.
Later in the year, we also sponsored and exhibited at the HR in Wales Conference, bringing together HR professionals from across the region. The quality of conversation, learning and collaboration on the day reinforced just how passionate and forward-thinking the HR community in Wales really is.
- Throughout 2025, we’ve continued to work closely with clients across South Wales as a trusted recruitment partner, supporting them with specialist HR appointments that make a real impact. We’ve stayed true to what we do best… listening carefully, understanding context and providing recruitment solutions that deliver for the long term.
- At the same time, we’ve spent a great deal of time supporting candidates through a turbulent job market. Redundancy, restructuring and uncertainty have been common themes this year, but we’re proud to have been a steady, honest and supportive presence for people navigating their next step. Sometimes that’s about finding a role; sometimes it’s simply about reassurance, perspective and guidance.
- One of our most recent highlights was delivering an exclusive Leadership & Life breakfast seminar in collaboration with Andrew Ashby of Ribbon of Life and Jonathan “Jiffy” Davies OBE. They combined stories from elite sport and leadership to create a powerful morning of insight and inspiration. We had such great feedback from the session and plan to host more events in the new year so keep an eye out!
- Planning ahead for 25 years of Human Resourcing! Next year marks 25 years of Human Resourcing, a milestone that feels both humbling and energising. We’ve already started planning celebrations that will kick off in the new year, and let me tell you, there’s plenty in the pipeline to mark this anniversary properly! We’ll be celebrating the relationships, stories and people that have shaped the business over the last quarter of a century.
The recruitment landscape has changed beyond recognition over the years, but our values have stayed the same. We remain committed to our belief that great recruitment is about trust, integrity and genuine partnership.
Thank you to our clients, candidates, collaborators and wider HR community for being part of our journey this year. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together and excited for what’s to come.
Merry Christmas, see you in 2026!
