Job Description
Responsible for the design and implementation of a benefits package that attracts, retains, and engages exceptional employees post-merger.
You will lead broker negotiations to optimise cost efficiency and service quality for each benefit stream. Candidates with significant exposure to a recent /previous merger will be fully equipped to provide additional support to staff and management through this considerably sensitive period.
Understanding what they are going through whilst advising on reward recommendations as they move forward.
Working closely with HR & Finance, you will manage the compensation budget to ensure alignment with business priorities and forecasting future financial requirements.

The Reward Specialist is responsible for design and implementing a benefits package that attracts, retains, and engages exceptional employees.
Ensure that the packaging and presentation of benefits options allows our colleagues to easily engage with the offering.
Key Responsibilities
Design an approach to employee benefits that is right for the organisation, adds a degree of colleague choice in their benefit choice whilst ensuring the offer remains within budget.
The benefit package must be attractive to all of our colleagues however, it must be aligned with our corporate and people strategies and meet the expectations of the residents that we work with.
Candidates with significant exposure to a recent /previous merger will be fully equipped to provide additional support to staff and management through this considerably sensitive period. Understanding what they are going through whilst advising on reward recommendations as they move forward.
Colleagues can navigate the benefit offering to find out more about each benefit and choose their benefits for the year in a way that makes the administration process as streamlined as possible.
Lead negotiations, working with providers or brokers to optimise cost efficiency and service quality for each benefit stream, ensuring financial viability.
Work closely with the HR and Finance teams to manage the compensation budget and ensure alignment with business priorities and forecasting future financial requirements.
Engage with existing members of the people team to share understanding so they feel confident in implementing the package.
This role will also contribute to wider reward practices are aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals and are competitive within the market.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Professional qualification in relevant area. However, the professional experience of the candidate in the areas outlined above will be the most important factor
- 2–5 years of experience in reward and benefits design and implementation in a large company.
- Demonstratable experience of reward and benefits design and implementation following a merger process.
