As part of celebrating 25 years of Human Resourcing, we’ve been reflecting on the relationships that have shaped our journey and the people who have grown in tandem with us. One of those people is Sophie Cecil, UK HR Manager at Magnera.
We first worked with Sophie as a stand-out candidate, successfully placing her into Smart Solutions. From the outset, her professionalism, drive and leadership potential were clear. As her career progressed, so did our relationship.
While at Smart Solutions, Sophie partnered with us to help build her HR and L&D team, a pivotal stage in strengthening the organisation’s internal capability. After establishing that function, she moved on, again through Human Resourcing, into a senior role with Orbis.
Most recently, we were proud to support Sophie in securing her current position at Magnera (formerly Glatfelter), an international manufacturing business. Since then, we’ve continued working together to strengthen her HR and Payroll team.
Reflecting on the journey, Mera Mann said:
“Working with Sophie over the years perfectly sums up what Human Resourcing is all about. We don’t just place people into roles; we build long-term relationships. Seeing someone grow from candidate to senior leader, and then partnering with them as a client, is incredibly rewarding.
As well as supporting each other in business, we’ve enjoyed some much-deserved social events over the years including Chepstow Races Ladies Day in 2023 (pictured), a testament to the trust and friendship we’ve developed over the years.”
Sophie’s journey from candidate to valued client highlights the power of integrity, reliability and mutual respect, which are values that Human Resourcing continues to stand for.
